Spain is the largest producer of Olive Oil in the whole world and our exportations have been increasing year by year. Our liquid gold, as Spanish called it, is produced in nearly every region in Spain but it is in the south of Spain where it has the main production. The region of Andalusia produces around 60% of Spain’s total output. In this part of the country, you can see olive trees covering the landscape if you travel by plane or by car through their roads. The AOVE Águra Olive Oil comes from a family harvesting the best olives and taking care of the entire process of collection and milling the olives. From the beginning, the Aguilar Segura family has focused on a quality product to elaborate their olive oil. That quality is the reason why they had received numerous awards from countries such as Germany, Italy or Israel.
How to elaborate a Premium Olive Oil?
AOVE Águra is a family-run company that was formed by my parents Jesús Aguilar and María Luisa and their five children, included me. All of us were raised in a large tradition of farmers, surrounded by nature. So my parents know what they are talking about in concerned of olive trees and plantations.
In 2012 we decided to start a new project, the AOVE Águra company to elaborate the most especial Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the ‘Aguilar Segura’. In this way, we could monitoring rigorously the whole process, from the olive tree to the packaging, going through the recollection and grinding process.
